I made these cute Octonaut cupcakes for a child’s school birthday party. Everything was cut-out of fondant and pieced together. They are so adorable!
(no, not for me..yet..let’s get through the wedding first haha)
Looks like 2012 is the year to have babies!
First cake to kick off baby season:
Baby boy theme with duck, building block, and baby rattle, stamped with footprints
For Thanksgiving this year, this was my new take on the popular pumpkin roll – pumpkin cake balls with cream cheese icing, dipped in chocolate. yummmm. Same amazing taste, with half the guilt (that is, if you possess the willpower to limit yourself to just one!) For the real pumpkin lovers, an orange drizzle of Hershey’s Pumpkin Spice Kisses!
Yup, that would be Buzz Lightyear. This was the cupcake tower I made for [My Cousin] Vinny’s 2nd birthday with a Toy Story theme. Everything was sculpted out of fondant and modeling chocolate. I had so much fun crafting the little details of Buzz..even down to the “Vinny” inscribed on the bottom of his foot 🙂
It’s Fall, so you know what that means – it’s time to whip out the pumpkin! I made a few (or rather a couple dozen!) of the ever-popular Pumpkin Roll with cream cheese icing, but decided I wanted to change it up a little.. or a lot..Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies. Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies?! You’re probably thinking, “eww, but with pumpkin?”. But (not to be biased) let me assure you, these are amazingggggg!! So soft and moist – a cross between a cookie and cake; so perfectly delicious when fresh out of the oven..Or not! – they even made the trip all the way to Afghanistan to Kyle and friends and were an instant hit! (granted anything homemade, no matter how old, was probably superior to chow hall food haha)
